Betty Rubble Flinstones Plus Size CostumeThis is an officially licensed Flinstones costumes. The Betty Rubble Plus Size Costume includes a 100% polyester (felt) blue halter top dress with “bone” print hip belt and black wig with blue hair bow. Care instructions are to hand wash in cold water, no bleach, and line dry. There’s also a Barney Rubble costume, and if you have kids, an adorable The Flinstones Bamm-Bamm Child Costume The costume reviews are mixed, the primary complaints are that the dress is made of felt, and the “bone” hip belt is printed (those aren’t little plastic bones attached to cloth), please be sure and review the costume reviews on BuyCostume’s website (see below) before purchasing. Wilma Flinstones Plus Size CostumeThis is an officially licensed Flinstones costume. This Wilma Flinstone plus size Halloween costume includes the white asymmetrical dress with zebra print trim, chunky white stone necklace, and Wilma wig. Earrings, ring, and shoes sold separately. If you want to go with a family theme, I also found three Pebbles costumes: Toddler Flintstones: Pebbles The Flinstones Pebbles Child Costume-Small 4-6 Pebbles Flintstone Teen Costume Hand wash cold, no bleach, and line dry. Fits most women size 16 – 20, but please see website(s) for measurements and sizing information. There were quite a number of customer reviews, and as with the Betty Rubble costume detailed above, there were good and bad points to the costume. The reviewers seemed to like the design of the costume, praised its comfort and softness, but didn’t like the felt-like material, a few felt that the strapless side of the dress exposed too much under the arm, and not surprisingly, felt a white slip was necessary under the white fabric (a slip should also take care of the underarm issue). The size 16 reviewer found the Halloween costume a little big but took it in, the size 20/22 reviewer found it a bit tight and too short, although the fact that she’s 5’7” probably exacerbated the problem, and most of us just aren’t that tall. A few also had problems with the wig, either the color or the size. |
